One of the main concepts behind the Paleo diet is the consumption of food and drink that are minimally processed. Because FitAid is sweetened with raw organic blue agave, we are using a sweetener that isn’t processed at a temperature higher than that which is found in nature (such as the deserts of Mexico where our agave is farmed). Agave is low on the glycemic index and avoids the typical insulin response caused by other sweeteners. In addition, many of the supplements found in our product are compatible with the Paleo diet including Omega-3 EFAs, Vitamin D and natural (as opposed to synthetic) Vitamin E.

INGREDIENT QUESTIONS

Monk fruit is a small sub-tropical melon that has been cultivated in the remote mountains of Southern China for centuries. According to legend, monk fruit is named after the Buddhist monks who first cultivated the fruit nearly 800 years ago.

Monk fruit juice is an amazing 20 times sweeter than other fruit juices. The unique low-calorie sweetness of monk fruit comes from naturally occurring antioxidants found in the fruit that have a delicious, sweet taste, without the calories of sugar. Used as a food ingredient monk fruit adds delicious low-calorie sweetness, replacing sugar and calories with great-tasting goodness from fruit.

None of our products need to be kept in refrigerated in storage. However, we do recommend consuming all of our products ice-cold.

The single biggest challenge that faced the LIFEAID team was to come up with effective formulas using clean, quality supplements and nutrients that also taste great!

Many popular "zero calorie" drinks use artificial sweeteners to obtain that claim. The health risks of artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame are becoming increasingly well-known. That's why we promise that they will never be included in any LIFEAID product.

Instead, we use natural, zero-calorie Stevia as part of our sweetener blend. Many consumers find the taste of Stevia on its own to be unpleasant, which is why we blend Stevia with raw organic blue agave.

With that combination, you could say that we hit the low-calorie, low-glycemic “sweet spot.” As an added plus, the agave provides a source of energy and it doesn’t cause your insulin levels to spike like other sweeteners such as high-fructose corn syrup.

Dr. Aaron Hinde is the co-founder of LIFEAID Beverage Co. and a licensed sports and wellness chiropractor. He spent years treating and giving nutritional advice to some of the top athletes throughout California prior to co-founding LIFEAID. Not all agave is equal in quality. The agave plant is mainly grown in the deserts of Mexico. Raw agave is minimally processed in temperatures that can be found in the climates where the agave is grown, between 115-120 degrees Fahrenheit. Other agave may be processed at a higher temperature and some agave may even be mixed with cheaper additives including high-fructose corn syrup. All the agave used in our products is of the highest quality and is certified raw and organic by the largest agave supplier in the world.

ORDER QUESTIONS

Many financial institutions place a "pending authorization" on your account whenever a credit card is used for purchases. The pending authorization status will usually display until the payment has been fully settled (whether approved or cancelled). It may take several business days for an authorization to drop off. This is due to many financial institutions placing a temporary hold on purchases made with a credit card, regardless of status (approved or cancelled) until the transaction has been fully settled. The CVV (Card Verification Value) is located on the back of MasterCard, Visa and Discover credit/debit cards. Typically, it is a separate three-digit number to the right of the signature strip. On American Express cards, the Card Security Code is a printed (not embossed) group of four digits on the front of the card instead, towards the right.

Our team strives to stay within a 24-hour turnaround time window on all orders. However, since we are only able to process orders on business days, please allow up to 48 hours for our warehouse to prepare your package for shipment. You will receive an email with your FedEx tracking number as soon as your package ships. (Check your spam folder if it's been 48 hours since you placed your order.) Packages generally arrive within 2-5 business days of shipping.

If you are getting an "AVS mismatch error," please call your credit card company to verify that they have the correct address on file.

SHIPPING

You can view your tracking numbers under your My Account page. We also email your tracking numbers to you using the email address you provided when you placed your order. We strive to ship within 48 hours of your order being placed. Please keep in mind that if your order is placed on a Friday afternoon it may not ship until Tuesday as we do not ship on weekends at this time.  

If 48 hours has passed and you do not see tracking info, please check your spam folder — the email with your tracking number may be hiding in there.

If you need to change your shipping or billing address please log into the My Account page and edit your address. Please note that once a package has shipped, we cannot alter the shipping address.

If you are getting an error message, then the FedEx truck has not yet arrived at the next location so the tracking number is not considered "active."

Wait a couple of hours and you'll be able to get your estimated delivery date as soon as your package is scanned upon arrival at the next facility. 

Please note that we sometimes need to split shipments between our various warehouses. In such instances, you will get a tracking number emailed to you for each shipment. If one of your items is backordered, then you should have received an email within a few hours of initially placing the order advising of this. (Check your spam folder, if you're not seeing it in your normal inbox.)

If your entire order has shipped and the packing list in the box shows an item that is missing from the contents of your order, please email [email protected] so we can look into the issue right away. Our team is here to help!

All returns for refunds will require a 20% restocking fee of merchandise costs. Returnable items must be received by our warehouse within 30 days from the initial date your order was delivered. Returned items must be in their original packaging and in perfect condition. This means if merchandise was originally in sealed packaging, it’s expected to be returned in the same way. Unsealed/used items are not resellable and, therefore, not accepted for refunds if returned.

No refunds will be offered for orders past 30 days. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are not refundable.

NOTE: All returned merchandise that is opened, damaged or not in original packaging will be ineligible for a refund or exchange.
